Mr Ben Dreyer is a Consultant Urologist and the designated BPH Lead at NHS Fife, where he leads the most comprehensive benign prostatic hyperplasia service in Scotland. NHS Fife is the only centre in Scotland offering the full spectrum of BPH therapies — including Rezūm, Greenlight Laser, HoLEP (and ejaculatory-sparing HoLEP), laser bladder neck incision, and Prostatic Artery Embolisation (PAE) — under one service.
Mr Dreyer graduated from the University of Dundee in 2015 with an MBChB and also holds a BMedSc with Honours in Physiology from the same institution. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urol).
Beyond his NHS practice, Mr Dreyer has developed an international reputation in BPH and minimally invasive prostate surgery. He is a Coloplast Certified Proctor and a Boston Scientific Certified Proctor — formal recognition of his expertise from two of the field's leading device manufacturers — and is regularly invited to speak at international urology platforms and conferences. He hosts and leads training courses in BPH for consultant surgeons, sharing his experience with colleagues across the UK and internationally.
In his private practice at The Canmore Clinic in Dunfermline, Mr Dreyer offers expert assessment and management of the full range of urological conditions in men and women, with a particular focus on prostate health, BPH, and prostate cancer screening. He also delivers Prostate Smart Screening in collaboration with The London Clinic.
Mr Dreyer is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
